Patrick Littlefield, Founder and Chairman of WaveMark, Presents Seminar to CIHL Campus Team

Abstract:
The talk focuse on supply chain challenges and opportunities for supplier and provider participants in the supply chain for high dollar Physician Preference Items (PPI) in the Healthcare Supply chain.  According to Lawton Burns* supply chain costs in healthcare represent 38% of the cost of goods sold.   In the presentation we explored the supply chain dynamics for medical devices in the specialty suites of the hospital including the Cardiac Cath Lab, the Interventional Radiology Lab, the Electrophysiology Lab and the OR. With these topics as a background Mr. Littlefield shared WaveMark’s experience to date with its real time information network and then explored related opportunities to create both immediate efficiencies and new supply chain models for the industry such as VMI or co-managed inventories.
